Construction
What you are actually hanging.
A stretched canvas is a fabric skin under tension over a wooden frame. These are the exact materials and dimensions we use.
- Wood
- FSC-certified, sustainably sourced solid pine, kiln-dried to stop warping in centrally heated rooms.
- Construction
- Corner-wedged joints. Small wooden wedges sit in each inside corner and keep the canvas drum-tight — and let you re-tension it years later by tapping them in.
- Profile
- 2 cm slim depth as standard, which sits close to the wall. A 4 cm gallery-depth profile is also available if you prefer a heavier, more sculptural edge.
- Canvas fabric
- Cotton-polyester blend, 300–350 gsm, 350–400 micron thickness — heavy enough to hold a fine matte tooth without the weave showing through the image.
